Wow Hits 2010
Wow Hits 2010 is one epic CD. Well, actually, two epic CD’s. Released back in October 09, these two cd’s feature 30 of the most popular Christian hits of 2009.
I’d mention some stand out tracks but really, they are all on here for a reason. From Chris Tomlin to Sanctus Real, Third Day to Jeremy Camp, it’s a fabulous mix. Most of the tracks have featured in the Christian Billboard charts at some point during the last year and nearly every one will be recognisable.
Personally I love Mr Jimmy Needham, whose song “Forgiven and Loved” is very reminiscent of something John Mayer might well have performed. Casting Crowns have a track on here, “Slow Fade”, a brilliantly written tune from their latest album, “The Alter and the Door”. Then there’s Michael W Smith’s “ A New Hallelujah” , title track of his latest album.
Like I said, these tracks are all chosen because they are popular. We loved them. So it’s a pretty safe bet you’ll love this CD. A great snapshot of one years worth of the best in contemporary Christian music. And, in this beautiful paradox we enjoy, a timeless collection of truths put to some really catchy tunes.
Hello Love
“Hello Love” is Chris Tomlin’s 5th and latest studio album, released in 2008. And what a fine album it is. One of those CD’s you put on and immediately identify as a classic.
With a mixture of great congregational anthems like “Jesus Messiah”, to the hymn-like “Praise the Father, Praise the Son” and of course the stunning, “I Will Rise” which is both drawing us into worship and climbing it’s way up the Christian singles chart at the same time. Also featured on the album – “God of this City” – a song that has made it’s way around the world as people have held onto the truth of it’s lyrics. Made popular by Chris but originally written by Northern Irish band, Bluetree. The legendary Watoto Childrens Choir also make an appearance adding their unique sound to the simply titled “Love”.
All in all, Chris’s latest offering stands out a mile from a lot of the worship albums out there. I couldn’t identify one less than sterling track. Stick it on while you’re doing the dusting, or in the car because this CD is a keeper – an album you can bounce to, be inspired by, and most of all, worship along with.

Faith Hope Love – Hillsong Live 2009
The eagerly awaited Hillsong album of 2009 is now available. Joel Houston of the Hillsong team writes – ‘This year our live album recording has served as an opportunity for our entire church to come together, sing the new songs and express our worship to God as one. Creatively, our team always endeavour to bring our very best, but the intent has always been above all, to simply capture the heartbeat of our church as it resonates with the heart of God. In 2009 we’re going all out, we’re taking a new approach and it involves every one of us. It involves you!
‘So get it in your spirit now to expect an encounter with our Creator and Saviour like we’ve never seen or experienced. Expect the unexpected and let’s together believe that whatever gets captured will ultimately break down walls and breathe the light, love and freedom of Christ into people’s circumstances all over the earth.‘

Hillsong United – I Heart Revolution
From rwanda to capetown, buenos aires to mexico city, los angeles to toronto, london to budapest.. shanghai to sydney.. Hilsong United recorded almost every united worship service for the last 2 years.. Bottled just some of the moments and put them together for all who’d choose to hear.. The end result is the sound of a generation across the earth singing praise and worship to our God.. The sound of the nations joining as one in the same song.. They say – “”We’ve recorded a double album worth of songs old and new, and I have to say, it’s all about the people and the passion of their worship toward God.. It’s very live… A little rugged in places, but that’s the beauty of it – it’s not about “united” or even the songs.. It’s about the heart cry of a generation consumed with their Maker..”
