HelloLove150“Hello Love” is Chris Tomlin’s 5th and latest studio album, released in 2008. And what a fine album it is. One of those CD’s you put on and immediately identify as a classic.
With a mixture of great congregational anthems like “Jesus Messiah”, to the hymn-like “Praise the Father, Praise the Son” and of course the stunning, “I Will Rise” which is both drawing us into worship and climbing it’s way up the Christian singles chart at the same time. Also featured on the album – “God of this City” – a song that has made it’s way around the world as people have held onto the truth of it’s lyrics. Made popular by Chris but originally written by Northern Irish band, Bluetree. The legendary Watoto Childrens Choir also make an appearance adding their unique sound to the simply titled “Love”.
All in all, Chris’s latest offering stands out a mile from a lot of the worship albums out there.  I couldn’t identify one less than sterling track. Stick it on while you’re doing the dusting, or in the car because this CD is a keeper – an album you can bounce to, be inspired by, and most of all, worship along with.
