Wow Hits 2010

Wow Hits 2010 is one epic CD. Well, actually, two epic CD’s. Released back in October 09, these two cd’s feature 30 of the most popular Christian hits of 2009.

I’d mention some stand out tracks but really, they are all on here for a reason. From Chris Tomlin to Sanctus Real, Third Day to Jeremy Camp, it’s a fabulous mix.  Most of the tracks have featured in the Christian Billboard charts at some point during the last year and nearly every one will be recognisable.

Personally I love Mr Jimmy Needham, whose song “Forgiven and Loved” is very reminiscent of something John Mayer might well have performed.  Casting Crowns have a track on here, “Slow Fade”, a brilliantly written tune from their latest album, “The Alter and the Door”. Then there’s Michael W Smith’s “ A New Hallelujah” , title track of his latest album.

Like I said, these tracks are all chosen because they are popular. We loved them. So it’s a pretty safe bet you’ll love this CD. A great snapshot of one years worth of the best in contemporary Christian music. And, in this beautiful paradox we enjoy, a timeless collection of truths put to some really catchy tunes.
